We'll meet you onsite to hear all your plans and ideas. We can review a budget and will help you understand what options are available to you to create your perfect backyard getaway! Are you looking for a wood deck? Maybe a composite deck? We'll help you decide.

Demolition & Preparation

We'll begin the custom deck construction project with the necessary preparations for ensuring that new and existing decking is set to stand the test of time. Rotted wood and joists will be replaced as all safety precautions are taken during this phase.

Deck Installation & Finish Work

We make sure that proper deck installation techniques are always used. We'll quickly put your deck together with our team of experts. Some decks are completed in as little as a week by our expert installers.

Finished Product

We'll be sure every final touch will be precisely done as we complete your custom deck. We can also assist with landscaping needs or awning installation if needed. Enjoy the summer with the highest industry-standard decking installation.

Do you build decks out of different materials?

We know that a wood deck isn't what everyone wants or needs. Our team is full of experts in every form of deck construction, which includes all forms of composite decking (like Trex), PVC decking (like TimberTech), and other composite decking manufacturers, like AZEK. It all comes down to cost and the level of ongoing maintenance you want to consider, but our team can do it all.

What do I do about getting a building permit?

Our team will take care of that aspect for you. No matter the stage of the deck process, Marks Building Co. will be there to make it as simple as possible for you and your family.

Should I put a roof on my deck? What do you recommend for it?

We often like to suggest an open cathedral metal roof with standing seam. This helps complement the house and typically the new deck addition adds to the functionality of the space. Usually we suggest a complementary roof to the home because adding the contrast gives the home a pop. Metal roofs have become widely popular and carry a much longer warranty than dimensional shingles. Metal roofs are often more energy-efficient options, and provide more longevity than other options, along with less maintenance required.

What about deck lighting?

Adding lighting to your deck is a fantastic way to get the most of your updated outdoor space.
